John Hopkins February 1st, 2011
The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for the Wooster area, which remains in effect through 7 p.m. tomorrow, Wednesday, Feb. 2. A mix of sleet, freezing rain, and snow will develop this evening and continue through the day tomorrow. Accumulations of a half inch or more of ice are expected overnight, and American Electric Power is anticipating power outages throughout northeast Ohio.
The college’s emergency response planning group continues to monitor the situation and plans are in place to deal with the storm’s impact on campus. Updates will be provided as necessary through the college’s emergency notification system of text and voice messages and e-mail, as well as on this blog.
Please use common sense and exercise caution if you are moving around campus during the storm.
